my interpretation of the HJ/lavonte ship crash out that happened is that:

1) HJ never realized what was happening between him and lavonte but as soon as someone outside of it looked at the two of them and clocked them as gay it all clicked. like it hadn’t occurred to him yet that he could be queer. like the type of guy to be like “sometimes i wish i was gay because men are so attractive.”

however once it was pointed out to him he immediately recontextualizes his entire relationship with lavonte and is like “oh! we have been dating for a long time. well, i can’t let lavonte know i’ve only realized this now”

2) lavonte thinks that he and HJ are in the most intense slow burn imaginable where they’re both waiting for each other to make the first move love is war style and when called out about it he panics because no theyre not together yet you can’t just call it out like that!!

hello bird people. can someone help me identify a bird i saw in my yard. i’ve never seen it before and it caught me by surprise. didn’t have my phone on me so this is my best attempt at drawing it

it was about the size of a blue jay (i know cause there was a blue jay there), was walking around on the ground doing that chest-bump thing that chickens do.

it was this very bright orangish-brown. its tail feathers were about the same length as the rest of its body and were a solid brown. i forget the exact coloration of the face but it’s chest was sorta vertically striped? or speckled? brown and white. it had like a bit of fluffy feathers(? not sure what this is called) on its head, not a lot, but enough that i noticed it had a lil hairdo

it’s beak wasn’t very long but it was longer than i expected. the body shape reminded me of a roadrunner? take that one with a grain of salt tho.

i live in eastern virginia - used to live in central kentucky and never saw this type of guy before,, please someone tell me who it is it captured my heart,,
