This is just a quick one, based on the fic ‘Crazy Crafters’ by @chasml​; it was originally a warm up, but when I was lurking about on Ao3 I discovered it was their b-day so I wanted to clean it up! Chasml has just some *chef’s kiss* fantastic fics, I really can’t recommend enough, if you wanna check ‘em out they have their whole Ao3 masterpost in their bio. ‘One Personal Favour’ is a bloody tour de force and I love how well they fit the DR kids into the pokemon world in ‘My Real Test’

‘Crazy Crafters’ is it’s own little thing, and honestly; a delight! I was taken back to my teens, riding the tram to hobbycraft or the haberdashery in the shopping centre, picking out fabrics and dyes to fix up my hand-me-downs, or cross-stitch kits to make gifts for my mum. . . it just gave me some good old nostalgic warm and fuzzies.

Are there any updates coming up for Crazy Crafters?

To be honest, if I hadn’t got this message, the answer to that would have been ‘No’ because after the prequel chapter didn’t get many comments (And I never see anyone talking about it) I assumed no one was particuarly bothered about seeing it continue past the initial story and decided to focus more on OPF and some other stuff I’ve got in the works.

But because I DID get a message about it…

2: What scene did you first put down?

I’d been thinking about this in my head for a while, so the first scene I wrote was the first one. It was mostly written in order, except for...

5: What part was hardest to write?

From the original one-shot: The part where Takaaki returns with the other policemen, because I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to have happen there (originally that scene wasn’t there in my head.) That’s not really saying much though, because that entire story was really easy to write.

For the fic as a whole including the prequel, I think the part where Mondo offers to split the offer with Taka gave me the most grief, because I knew it had to happen, but couldn’t work out how to get them to actually do it for a while. (And also, getting them to actually introduce each other so I could start using their NAMES in the narration! -_-)

13: What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn’t listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to to accompany us while reading?

I was listening to music, as I always do when I write, but I can’t remember what I would have been listening to in particular. I guess I’d recommend something romantic in a cheesy way, because it’s kind of a cheesy fic? (Sorry, I tend to use music as background white noise while writing, and I rarely associate music with moments in a story, so this question has me stumped)
