Big fat cheese burger, fries, milkshake…..
I was introduced to Violetta Zironi through a friend a few years ago when he sent me a video of her singing Crazy Fool with Jack Savoretti and ever since then I have been a fan. One More Goodbye is an acoustic folk track that allows Violetta’s enchanting voice to take centre stage, every time I hear her sing I feel like there should be birds flying into my bedroom helping me get dressed. With only the guitar backing Violetta’s vocal the track has an intimate feel that assists the storytelling within the track, making it feel like you’re sitting down with someone and listening to them tell you a story from their past.

Entry #000001
Let’s get a few things out of the way before I really get started. I’m planning on making a daily blog post about whatever I’m thinking at the time, maybe I’ll cover some news or something, or a topic brought via request from you guys; it really just depends on my current mindset. You’re supposed to be able to reply to these posts so I can see what people think if they decide to speak, but I can’t tell if that’s possible in the current settings. I’ll figure it all out eventually.
I can go on massive tangents and change writing styles rather quickly, so don’t be surprised if my thought train derails into another, totally unrelated dimension.
I told you guys I didn’t care about who came to visit and stuff, what you do while you’re here, what you say, all that jargon. What I’m trying to say is that I don’t care how you go about visiting, but I do care if you decide to come visit. I’ll listen to whatever you have to say, give advice, answer questions, tell you to fuck off. The point is that I reply, like I actually care about your input, but the way I go about it merely depends on my mood. I may be overly objective or subjective, it’s all circumstantial. This journal is for all of humanity to see, after all. If I really didn’t care, I’d just keep it all to myself and watch the world burn.
One of my two dogs was put down this morning. I’m rather sad about the whole ordeal, but the tears aren’t present; not yet at least. His name is Lewie, lived to be 13 I think, which is rather old for a jack russell. We had him for most of his life, I think he was around two or so when we first took him in. His characteristics at a young age were most desirable, in my eyes: energetic, joyful, loving, attention-demanding, he was even friendly towards other cats and dogs. Now in some cases he would bark and get riled up, but for the most part he wasn’t overly aggressive. He grew stubborn as he aged, like a lot of us do, but he carried his general happy and energetic self all the way to the end. Once he lost control of his bowels, we decided it was time to discuss the inevitable. In reality we could just leave him outside, but that would make it rather difficult to get through the gardening season, as he would just run around and kill all of our plants.
Personally, I would rather die in happiness than live in suffering. There is a certain degree of suffering that exists in all life, so don’t take what I said as, “All suffering is not worth living through.” Different types of suffering are, in my eyes, required really, in order to ensure a life of higher quality. And really, some suffering can make people happy. How can you know what to be thankful for if you’ve never known what life is like without it? Your life is how you make it. If you want to see the suffering you are in as something good, turn it into that. If you are unhappy about where you are in life, then change it. It’s really all up to your own decisions, the way you structure your psychology around life; your opinions shape the world around you, not the facts themselves. Facts have little to no psychological impact on somebody without opinion, and they can be twisted either way. Fact can become opinion, opinion can become fact. People can be manipulative and attempt to shape your opinion, but in the end it is your decision alone, you control yourself. The difficulty of shredding that interconnected web of manipulated thought is inversely proportional to a constant value determined by each aspect of your personality and the degree to which you can control them, and every aspect has its own degree of “contribution” to the constant value based upon its importance as a unique “indicator” of your emotional stability and logical thought processes. Trauma can also be a contributor to psychological evolution, either as a catalyst or a resistor. It is believed that the one freedom all people possess is the freedom of thought. You can argue the legitimacy of that based on psychological manipulative grounds and whatnot, but regardless, I seek to defend it and all basic rights of mankind through my life, unto my death. I may be adamant about these rights, but I won’t go so far as to damn all who think otherwise. I would rather leave myself open to change, after all.
Oh, OOHH! I do this thing where I send songs to my friends. I’ll just put it on here lol. It’ll help me construct a daily posting ritual too, which I want for some reason. Maybe because I like talking and am just tired of not expressing my thoughts openly, or it’s just a strange preference, but whatever the case I’m gonna’ try to keep it day-to-day. Hmm, guess I’ll just name the song and link it. I won’t name the artist, because I don’t want people to say, “I don’t like that artist, so I won’t click on it.” You wanna’ know who wrote/performed it, you gotta’ click on it. ;p
Anyways, here are the songs. I may or may not be back later. If I have something crazy to say, I’ll certainly tell you.
You’re getting a sentence instead of the song name today
My music taste is rather strange; mostly universal, but strange
At least listen to a little bit of every song, especially the instrumentals
“We’re a ball of energy inside of a bowl inside of a bowl inside of a bowl inside of a bowl inside of a bowl inside of somebody’s attic. Or maybe everything is a Möbius strip.” - a crazy fool
What, I can’t quote myself? Says who?
That’s what I thought... >.>
