If You Hate A Ship
If anyone (everyone) hates a ship with a burning passion, don’t send death threats to that person or say that you wish them dead. At the end of the day, you end up looking like the bad guy. Every time I see a blog that has to do with camp camp, there’s always one out of ten blogs where someone wants to murder a user in cold blood for shipping something. I HATE max//vid with a burning passion. But I don’t go up to someone and say, “I hope you die in a fire!” (FNAF reference) But in all seriousness, if you hate a certain ship, I beg you not to hurt or say that you have intensions of harming anyone.
It’s A Shame (To the Max//vid shippers)
So a lot of people including myself despise Max//vid. And there are good reasons too. And no, I don’t want to talk down to all of those Max//vid shippers and say that they should burn and stuff like that. But all I want to say to those people is it’s a real shame.
It’s a shame that some people out there have really good art and seem really sweet to other people. What’s sad about it though is that these shippers ship Max//vid. And for those unaware of what Max//vid is or follow me for different reasons other than camp camp, Max//vid is a ship that involves a 10 year old camper, and a 24 year old councilor. And it’s really sad because it makes me feel really uncomfortable to see it up all over different websites. This causes me to unfollow some blogs that like this ship and even block them, and that hurts because they’re such talented artists with a bad shipping choice! Like dude, you know what involves a kid and an adult. In what way is that cool or even acceptable?
Some other people may try to argue using the, “What about Jaspvid?” And to that I say, “It’s not pedophelic.” Those who ship them usually ship them before Jasper’s death or in a different universe where Jasper lives on. Some of the Max//vid shippers “try” to make it “better” for others by age changing them. That’s still not acceptable because it’s not cannon. And to those shippers who do ship it and say that Jaspvid is also pedophelic in canon, I can easily counter that statement with simple logic. Jasper is one, dead, and two, they would be the same age if he were to live on. Max and David will always be 14 years apart. And also, knowledge so far indicates that David is unable to see ghosts. So Jasper is dead according to David.
It also looks like David has morals. Why would he want to kiss a dead body of his friend, or a 10 year old child? This makes David not only a pedophile, but also a creep. Like the QM. Now does it really seem reasonable to compare David to QM? I didn’t think so.
This has actually made me feel uncomfortable to see things like David talking to Max because the image of Max//vid has entered my head so many times thanks to tumblr, that it’s made me feel uncomfortable to read fanfics or look at fan art without a Max//vid hastag entering the browse section.
Now I’m an open shipper, but when you ship stuff like Max//vid, that’s where I draw the line. And if you disagree with me and call me an idiot or stuff like that, just know that as long as you guys are doing stuff like Max//vid, I will be doing things like this.
Well Guys...
I think I’ll stay out of politics and expressing that kind of stuff on tumblr from now on.
