I'm so delighted that people like that name so much! Early daemon names in the books were kinda pretentious, but the longer the HDM series went on, the more daemons we met, and the more common names we saw crop up. So I felt pretty confident it wouldn't be out of place in a daemon AU. And it's very fitting for them! Daemons are the core of a person, their soul, so having his name be Grace and her name be Mercy is...well, a bit heavy-handed, to be honest, but it's a one-shot. We're allowed to have fun with it.

Oop!!! You caught me 😅. It may or may not be inspired by Next to Normal. It may or may not be taking place in the game universe and it may or may not involve Sonic seeing and hallucinating Tails even though he died a few years earlier.

In translation. It is in fact all of these things!!! I’m still working on it and planning this one out!! I’ve got the basics I’m just working on the details! I’ve just been fighting the fact that my child Tails is gonna be dead but not really but is?!? I think you get it. To Sonic he is alive anyways!!!!

I’m so excited about the dynamics and how each character will be and I can’t wait to write it!!

It’s An Odd Language by orphan account. Sonic taught himself English, and Maddie and Tom find out during an everyday convo. I haven’t reread it in awhile but I think about this fic whenever I think of the SCU.

Tick, Tick, Tick by Trenchcoat Gecko (idk if they have a personal tumblr but they make the @sonicdesolation comic!). Rated T for violence and injury. Sonic 3 goes a little differently and smashing apart the concrete that almost crushed Tom and Maddie injures Sonic. >:3

I am indeed a whump enjoyer! Most of my Sonic fics have whump or h/c! My favs of which revolve around SCU Sonic's childhood and the impact Longclaw had on him. This one is about his complicated feelings towards Longclaw's end and has Sonic 3 spoilers, and this one is about how it's not easy to switch your lifestyle and mindset over when you've lived in fear for 10 years. <33 I'm a sucker for emotional whump within the SCU, what can I say? One day I'll write about Knuckles' and Sonic's relationship, because MAN. That's got stuff in it.
