Being stuck at home has made me reflect a lot more on my inspirations from colour use in African art, as well as my interest in geisha-style make up - I decided to use this inspiration to #CreateFromHome. The colour blue here symbolizes being at peace with the way that things are and green depicts the growth that is yet to come. Perfectly reflecting the times we’re living through.

These last few months have been tough: Locked in with no idea what will happen to business, or how we will pay the mortgage or groceries. Distance learning is a challenge, keeping the kids occupied while trying (and failing) to keep them away from Fortnite. The craziness, though, adds to our family. Surviving and harnessing it is part of the battle. Yesterday was this much one’s Bday. Kaleb turned 9 while stuck inside and couldn’t be happier. We made cake, made some zoom calls, binged on a Netflix show, and built lego. He is always the life of the party and totally grasped the concept of our homage to the Salvador Dali photograph by Philippe Halsman.
