Ksenia Morozova and Zasha Turgeneva in Nothing Ever Lasts Forever
The Red Room never shut down after Natasha left. As a result, Ksenia grew up hearing stories of the incredible and traitorous Natalia Romanova, an example of both everything she could be and everything she shouldn’t. But despite all the warnings against it, Ksenia couldn’t help but dream of a life outside the Red Room. And when she comes crashing in, Ksenia’s forced to decide if she can really trust the woman who abandoned them.
Where Ksenia spends her time daydreaming of a different life, Zasha makes the most of what she has and holds onto her beliefs. And those beliefs include the fact that the Avengers are evil, that they want nothing more than to lull people into a false sense of security then take over. And Zasha isn’t having it. When the Black Widow herself comes to disrupt the Red Room, Zasha agrees to leave, if only to infiltrate the Avengers. But this team of monsters she once saw is starting to look a lot sweeter on the inside. Almost like a family, something Zasha has never had before.
