Day 3 of @otmoraclecards #createthisoracledeck Asleep
Here’s the challenge outline!
#16 (something that grows from the ground) in the #createthisoracledeck challenge!
Guidebook prompt from otmoraclecards on Instagram:
Card 16: Something that grows from the ground What did you create for this prompt? How does it grow from the ground? Is it a tree, plant, flower, vegetable? Keywords: growth, fertility, creation, evolution, health, blooming
I chose a winding vine that starts from the bottom of the card (the earth) and reaches up to the top (the sky). It kind of reminds me of Jack and the Beanstalk. I suppose not only is it the idea of growth and everything that goes along with that, but also the feeling of hope and potential!
It’s a really similar colour palette to the previous card, but for me I think they kind of go hand in hand!

#8 (poetry or song lyrics) in the #createthisoracledeck challenge!
Here are the prompts for the guidebook from otmoraclecards on Instagram:
Card 8. Song lyrics or lines from a poem What did you choose? What memories, meaning, or other associations do you have for the words? Keywords: (fill in your own keywords based on the words you selected)
I chose a quote that I found online, which seems to be attributed to Zeami Motokiyo, a Japanese aesthetician, actor, and playwright. I liked it because I love the moon, and I often feel just going for a walk late at night all alone and looking up at the moon is very personally cleansing and relaxing. It’s always been my favourite time to myself, and when I can think and feel renewed in a way, it gives me strength, and that’s what this quote reminds me of.
Keywords: moon, night time, quiet, cleansing, calm, relaxation, strength, renewal, silence, alone, stillness

#6 in the #createthisoracledeck challenge!
Here’s the info for the guidebook from otmoraclecards on Instagram:
Card 6. Self-portrait with your dominant hand The intention of this prompt was to draw a self-portrait with your dominant hand. If you're doing collage or using another non-drawing medium, try to create a self-portrait that reflects the face you show to the world In what ways does your self-portrait reflect how you see yourself? What body language do you notice? The dominant hand self-portrait is said to reflect your adult self or your public persona, the face you show to the world. Describe this version of yourself and what it desires Keywords: adult self, ego, persona, (include keywords that describe your self-portrait)
First of all, I chose my favourite colours (pinks and purples) as the background! I think my self portrait reflects how I see myself in that I look like a quiet little nerd (which is pretty true for the most part). I suppose that’s how I see myself in public most of the time! I notice that it’s just my face, not my body (probably because I’m not entirely comfortable with my body, but I mean, who is??) and I don’t take up all the space on the card, just the bottom half, which I’m sure is significant in some way about taking up space in real life. I think this version of me desires to have connections with people, to get along with others and have minimal conflict, to be respected for who I am (an introvert who needs to rest and relax by myself a lot - note that my eyes are closed) and to maybe a little more peace and quiet in my life! I definitely think a large part of my public persona, especially as I’ve gotten older, is embracing the fact that I am an introvert and despite maybe my early party-girl days, a HUGE nerd. I’ve really, in recent years, grown into accepting this part of myself and not being ashamed of displaying those characteristics. So to me, this card says a lot about being proud of who I am and really owning it, rather than fighting my nature!
Some other keywords specific to me could include: quiet, peace, calm, restraint, loner, self-acceptance

Let's all get over our creative paralysis, have some fun, and join in Kristen's creative oracle deck challenge.
Check out this cool challenge!
Generally I’m not huge into oracle decks, but today the universe seems to be telling me I should take a closer look at them!
New video is up sharing my favorite sources for self care in February. One of which was the Winter Olympics. Who else gets a vicarious thrill from watching the Olympics? Who else feels motivated to conquer their fears and go after their passions by listening to the stories of Olympians? Who else feels connect and one with the planet thanks to the Olympics? And that's just the start. Watch the video for more. Link is in my bio. Enjoy! 📝 #scarletmooncreations #winterolympics2018 #lupitanyongo @lupitanyongo #tarotadlib @tarotprose #createthisoracledeck @otmoraclecards @thestorywitch @bohoberry #omimbj #motivation #selfcare #yogadaily @dailyyoga #yogamom #blackpanther #anitablake #influences #bodycare @laurellkhamilton
I wanted to show you all what I’ve been working on lately. 🖤🎨🔥 Sorry for the absence, I’ve had loads going on! I am taking part in the #createthisoracledeck again this year. ❤️ I am making my cards extra big this time so I can scan the work in for prints later. These are just snaps from my phone for now, but I’m excited how things are turning out! It’s going to take some time to finish this one, because of the size of the art and detail, but stay tuned. Some of the art will be in the shop later this month! #mixedmediaartist #oraclecards #oracledeck #treetalkerart #treetalker #art #artist
