There’s one of these in Boston, the Vilna Shul (https://vilnashul.org/about/our_history). The interior painting was primarily a Lithuanian thing, hence why most of them have been destroyed. The Vilna is one of few surviving examples and the murals are perpetually in need of preservation funding.

I learned how to dance something similar to this in the third grade. in Cambodia it's called the Pestle Dance, and it is WAY slower than this, and it is still REALLY hard to do the turny bits without getting your ankles banged up. it was my least favorite dance to learn because it hurts like a bitch when your foot gets caught. that is god-tier levels of talent.

🇫🇷 Je ne fais généralement pas de gros plans, préférant en règle générale prendre de la distance pour montrer le sujet dans son environnement. Et quand parfois j'en fais, je ne cherche pas à avoir des photos super nettes 😅 J'avais déjà présenté une version de ce sujet. Elle était plus nette, mais au final, je préfère celle là qui est plus abstraites et avec une lumière plus sympa également.

🇬🇧 I don’t usually take close-ups, generally preferring to take the distance to show the subject in its surroundings. And when I do sometimes, I don’t try to have super sharp photos 😅 I had already presented a version of this subject. It was sharper, but in the end, I prefer this one which is more abstract and with a nicer light as well.

Admittedly, Vancouver is having a very warm winter but it’s still a bit shocking to see a Poppy Anemone blooming in early February.  You’re often advised to pull anemone tubers in the fall and replant them in the spring but under ideal conditions, if you leave them in the ground, they’ll start sending up shoots in late-January.
