I woke up this morning for my 5am puja. Myself, a few holy cows dotted here and there and three sleepy black puppies for company. And of course God/Goddess, who is all around here. Here on the Ganges, the mother of all rivers, the river of life, I start each day by sending out a prayer. We've just returned from seeing Amma and my heart is so full. I'm still swimming in the dazzling lights and colors of her presence. She is so many different things to so many people that it's hard to know how to describe her. For me she has always shown up as Kali, alchemizing anything that might not serve me through igniting the flames of a treacherous secret fire within. I only had a taste of Amma's motherly love within my being. This time, as I sat with her and sang with her, I found myself bathing in delicious waves that were opening up pathways to deep cosmic bliss. I opened up my system to hers and let her work her shamanic magic. It always seems that, like Shakti energy, she always knows where to go if you have a strong enough intention! It is a blessing to be able to sit in the field of an enlightened being. If you find yourself in this place....surrender! I must admit that this time, I felt a longing to stay with her that I haven't experienced before, not even when I lived on her ashram. And my heart is blown open with her love. :: I used to think that her field reminded me of what it must have been like to be in the presence or Jesus. And had Jesus had the time on this earth, he may have accomplished all that Amma has too...but now I wonder, would it have been the Magdalene to resemble her the most? The power of woman, not afraid to show or use it, yet at the same time the elegance of women throughout the ages embodied in the now. Food for thought as I prepare to sleep and maybe continue to travel through her field of grace... . . .
