07. 01. 2021 | 100 Days of Productivity- Day 11
Finally got time to catch up properly with my friends and finished all my deadlines for the week. So i decided to treat myself to some coffee and snacks from the cafe nearby :)
08. 01. 2021 | 100 Days of Productivity- Day 12
Had to attend a rather boring webinar early morning but after that, my dad and I decided to revamp our living room decor and spent the entire afternoon spray painting wood blocks in the balcony and listening to Harry Styles~
Just finished reviewing my geo notes from day-before and I guess today was an overall productive day!!
Creative Productivity Tips
There’s so much stuff on here about studying but a lot of times I find it most difficult to wrangle my creative genius. This is for all my fellow artists, actors, and creators.
Meditate. Take a moment to take in your body and your mind today. How are you feeling? For many creators our body is our instrument and it’s good to honor that. Dancers, actors, and singers this is especially important, but also my visual art fam. Give your hands a massage, get up from your chair and stretch. Remember your body.
Go do something else. Studyblr often tells us to just sit down and get it done but when you need to get into a creative mood sometimes you need to change things up.
Follow your impulses. Figure out what you want to do and go do it. If you want to get coffee, do it, if you need to roll in the mud, make that happen for yourself. This can help open up your thinking so you can see new patterns instead of staying locked in your daily habits.
Go back to your inspiration. Find the people who you think are just awesome. They can be artists, or scientists, or politicians, or teacher. Remind yourself that anything is possible and you have the stuff it takes to make something amazing.
Do your thing and do it badly and then look at it. It can be so hard to look at our own work, whether its a film or a painting or a piece of writing. It’s important to face to fear that what we’ve made isn’t good enough because that’s not helpful in the creative process and wont make our work any better. Once you’re able to look at your work without beating yourself you can identify the specific things you can do to make it better.
Be proud of your work. So many artists and creators were not respected in their time, and while I would never hope that on anyone, it’s still good to remember that there will always be someone who loves what you create. It would be so cool if you were the first person to love your own work.
Love you and happy creating. Make the world a little better today.
Changed Theme!
I've just changed the theme of this blog from 'hipster aesthetic' to a danceblr/studyblr. Due to this change I wanted to give this blog a fresh start, so I'm going to tell you a bit about myself. 😌 My name's Alicia and I live in Australia. I have interests in graphic design, creative advertising and creative productivity. I am a dancer and I am taught Cecchetti ballet, contemporary, Fosse jazz, musical theatre and hip hop, but my heart lies with ballet and contemporary styles. I am an aspiring graphic designer and I'm in the process of starting my design studies. I've always wanted to be more productive when studying, so I'm starting this blog to boost my motivation and productivity in dance, design and all areas of my schooling. I hope you all enjoy study journey. ❤️

16.12.2020 | 100 Days of Productivity- Day 2
Had a bit of a slow morning today and decided to kick start the day with a little creative productivity. I need to work on more of that physics chapter I started yesterday and I’m planning to get some research done for my history winter hols project later on, but whether or not I’ll get around to it, only time will tell.
Remember to let go and breathe once in a while, hope y’all have a wonderful day! :D
