what does living a creative life mean? why is self expression essential to poets, writers, actors, musicians, artists?
critics might claim being creative is unnatural, controversial, free thinking, unmanageable.
what's wrong with pushing back on conventional thought, delving into the mind's canvas, constructing an alternative ending - more vibrant and mysterious than our current reality projected by society?
are creatives uniquely chosen as vessels for unpredictable epiphanies, voices that bend anguish into melody, heartbreak into aching beauty?
it takes tremendous courage to run fingers through treacherous rivers of feeling, stabbing at slippery sensations, capturing their wriggling essence upon a page for others to touch and taste and feel for themselves.
artists trust that the mystical spirit within will awaken and express their vibrant thoughts with the same passionate inspiration that bewitches the artist to put words to verse or oils to a swirling brush.
there is prodigious madness in trusting instinct, yet is it not the divine which compels us to transcribe our human experience not only for ourselves but for others?
life is so ephemeral- how do we contain its temporal seasons of extraordinary exuberance and wretched agony but through the transparency of words, fabric, harmony -- the artistry of our senses?
