Good Morning! I’m very inspired lately. This is Audrey Hepburn and she used to love pearls and precious stones, she’s a Fashion Icon and I woke up thinking about a lot about our past icons and celebrities. I love to add a contemporary touch to her beautiful and elegant figure. This is another way I get inspired. . . . #audreyhepburn #fashionblogger #andreasterling #pearls #elegantwoman #elegantcontemporary #artists #artistic #art #artistsoninstagram #instagramart #instagramartist #creative #creativeart #designing #jewelrydesign #audrey #inpirational #creativejuices #creativejuice #topcreative #creativedirector (at Denver, Colorado) https://www.instagram.com/p/CBTCoiajZG7/?igshid=1hud4xmwu6beb
The bow stepped out of the forest and into the light, revealing his formerly obscured features. His fiery red hair seemed to give off its own light as the sun hit it. His knife-like teeth and sharp eyes were intimidating, as well as his long claws. Upon his back was a side quiver filled to the brim with magical arrows. I knew well not to approach the bow, lest he shoot one of those darned poisonous arrows. Grinning, the bow stuck ou his hand. I hesitantly reached out toward it, not expecting the friendly shake."I am the weapon you ordered," he said cheerfully. I could tell that he was having trouble speaking, as most factory weapons do. I drew my hand away from his wooden one."It is a pleasure to meet you, Reflex."
To be treated like either a monster or someone's personal property everywhere you go is the life of a bow. Created as weaponry for an ancient kingdom fallen ages ago, bows are often seen as nothing more than an inanimate object. It takes a lot to overcome these perceptions, but thankfully for the bows, society is slowly accepting them.
Diverse Weaponry
Bows are very unique creatures, and no two are the same. Their hair color ranges from the darkest blacks to the most vibrant reds to the most calming blues, while the color of their wooden bodies are just as varied. Bows also vary in height, being 10 feet at the tallest and 6 at the shortest. A bow’s teeth are most likely knife blades, and many have metal claws on their fingers and toes. One thing no bow lacks, however, is their ability to always wear a broad smile whether they want to or not. A bow’s smile often comes off as insane or maniacal.
Immortal Beings
Until they are physically unable to live any longer, a bow stays alive. This makes sense as their initial purpose was to serve in an ancient army for as long as possible. Bows often express no concern over dying, as they know that they are likely to live a few centuries longer before their bright spirit finally dies out.
Loyal Warriors
Bows are quick to trust and quick to serve - to the death. Once a bow can find a job, it is likely that they will not quit. As bows do not need to eat or drink, buying food is of no use to them. If payed, bows spend their money on luxuries that they could not otherwise afford. It is speculated that the reason bows are reluctant to quit jobs they have been at for a length of time is because of their dedication, and because they are afraid that without anything to do, they’ll succumb to boredom.
Bow Names
While older bows tend to keep the names they were given by their former owners, many take on new names relating to archery. Traditionally, bows only have a single name that they share with many others.
There are no differences between male and female Bow names.
Some examples of names: Ascham, Backset, Bowyer, Crest, Fletcher, Nock, Point, Shaft, Tiller
Bow Traits
Ability Score Increase
Your Dexterity and Charisma both increase by 1.
Age
Bows live until they are destroyed. They do not have an age when they are considered mature, as they are born with the same maturity they will carry throughout their lives.
Alignment
Bows tend to lean toward the chaotic end of the spectrum, as they are quick to make erratic decisions. More bows than not align with evil and are very quick to make assumptions. Very few bows stray beyond neutral and into good.
Size
Bows are between 6 and 10 feet tall. Your size is either Medium or Large depending on your height.
Speed
Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Living Weapon
Bows were constructed to be weapons of an ancient army, and are still used as weapons today. As long as their bowstring isn't broken, a bow can use itself as a longbow at any time.
Alternatively, some bows were created as musical instruments such as harps. These bows are incapable of shooting arrows.
Archer
You have advantage on all checks related to archery, crafting bows, and crafting arrows. Along with that, you have advantage on all history checks related to bows, arrows, and archery.
Restriction
You know the Shocking Grasp cantrip and can cast it from 20 feet away, or cast it by arrow. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for it.
Magic Veins
Twice per day, you can let two arrows you shoot deal a damage type that is not piercing.
Wooden
When you take fire damage, you take an extra 1d4 damage and have disadvantage on all attack rolls on your next turn.
Languages
You can speak and read Common, although you cannot write it well. Many bows have verbal tics that you may want to work out with your Dungeon Master.
In Black And White. Detective Bloch pulled up the surveillance video. While he scrolled through it, he asked if Studs Fedora saw anything new, but he didn't...until he did. There it was, in all its grainy monochrome glory: a darkened street, Studs himself talking with Bricks Bennett, and then two familiar faces leaving the hotel where Merton Lotts lay dead. In that one image, Studs saw everything. . . . #lego #legodetective #legodetectivesoffice #legominifigures #legogram #legonoir #detective #mystery #mysteries #snapjudgement #thriller #thrillers #hardboiled #privateeye #privatedetective #creativejuice #lego_hub #humor #comedy #humorous #funny
“I fear not a man who has a 1000 kicks, I fear a man who has one kick that he’s practiced a 1000 times“ - Bruce Lee.
Classic procrastination. Creative avoidance & Priority Dilution - This is what I do best unless I am way too amped up or invested in the process or results of the current task at hand.
Do you ever find yourself doing any of these?
Wait..
Let me explain.
Oftentimes we fall into the trap of overpromising and underdelivering, and it’s always better for the reverse to take place. Isn’t it?
Creative avoidance is my favourite brand of procrastination. Because we can always find a 100 more appealing things to do at all times rather than do the most important task. The risk of rejection and failure sits there looming above our shoulder, and keeping the dream going gets difficult by default.
Priority Dilution is another brand of procrastination that walks with me like a shadow. There’s this notion that it’s sexy and max appealing if you are good at 10 different things, and all of that is part of your elevator pitch.
What I’ve recently come to realise is that priority dilution results in diluted focus, and therefore diluted results.
Why?! Because great results are not achieved through balance. Great results are achieved through short seasons of intensive imbalance. That’s the reason farmers abide by the harvest principle. They work 18hours a day during the harvest thereby putting all their other activities in imbalance.
So by the law of Harvest Principle, it seems only viable that we expend the minimum amount of energy maintaining everything else and dedicate 💯of the excess energy in one direction to create an explosion - to create the power, focus and breakthrough.
Seasons are a much more accurate reflection of our lives and how you create lasting results.
As appealing as it is to be a multi-hyphenate, all the great peak performers seem to have made it big with one thing. They dominated one thing and post blowing through the wall they diversified into different assets and grew by doing other things.
Let’s raise a toast to conquering one feat at a time. Shall we?!
