Holding On Through a Housing Crisis — How You Can Help
Housing insecurity is something most people hope they’ll never have to face, yet it’s becoming a reality for more families every year. Right now, my household in the Roseland/South Bend area is navigating an unexpected and urgent housing crisis. We’re working to cover the remaining amount needed to prevent eviction and stay in our home, and I’m reaching out to our wider community for support.
This situation came on quickly and has pushed us into a place where every day matters. We’ve been doing everything we can — reaching out to local programs, applying for assistance, and cutting expenses wherever possible — but we’ve hit a point where outside help is the only way to close the gap in time.
I’ve created a GoFundMe to help us stabilize and avoid displacement. Any contribution, share, or resource recommendation makes a real difference. Even small amounts add up, and spreading the link helps it reach people who may be able to help.

Beyond the financial side, community support has a way of reminding people that they’re not alone. Housing insecurity can feel isolating, but every message, share, and gesture of kindness helps us stay grounded and hopeful while we work through this.
If you’re able to help in any way — donating, sharing the link, or pointing us toward local resources — it truly means more than I can express. Thank you for taking the time to read, support, and stand with us during this difficult moment.
As of now $1200 is the current amount outside of gofundme. We need at least $1900 more to not only cover the rent but to also cover any possible late fees.
Additionally, thanks to everyone who viewed and shared the gofundme. Even with this it shows people are still willing to help. If you cant donate, just share. Anything can help and with each share the goal gets closer to being hit.
First set of donations are in. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Every little bit helps. Even a share can get more eyes on this.
We are getting closer and closer to our goal. We have hit $433 and we are co standby climbing. If you are unable to donate, just share the post. Anything helps.
