First “pop up” professional arts training school announces live classes in #LosAngeles.
CreatorUp – the place for anyone to learn to tell their story and grow their audience is announcing its launch of live classes in 2015 – and will be one of the first “pop up” professional arts training schools in the world.
CreatorUp was founded by USC Film School alumni Mike Tringe and Sara Akhteh who saw the entertainment industry changing at lightening speeds from analog to digital, and knew they would have to keep teaching themselves and others as fast as they could to keep up. And they also knew they wanted to make it more affordable than hundreds of thousands of dollars of tuition for anyone who wanted to learn creative skills from the pros– in a convenient and personal way.
In starting CreatorUp, they wanted to provide a way for creative people to learn how to continue to make new projects with new tools of the trade, new formats, and new mediums that are emerging every year in the digital space. They reached out to the network of USC alumni and beyond to tap into the world’s top entertainment community and source new knowledge from the best of the best to create a library of over 30 courses with over 500 lessons on everything ranging from How to Get Your First 10K Views to How to Run a YouTube Channel as a Business.
CreatorUp has worked with world’s top digital talent as teachers, including Mystery Guitar Man, Freddie Wong, Soul Pancake, and more – in partnering with YouTube’s Official Creator Academy to teach new creators the ropes of video production.
