You can block someone for any reason

Really. Even if it seems stupid. This is the internet, and you don’t have to see or interact with anyone or anything you don’t want.

This random guy recently followed me, which, whatever. But it wasn’t a fan account, or really anyone that would normally follow me. It was a grown man, easily in his 30s.

I was a bit weirded out, but I’m not quick to judge and just brushed it off. But then he messaged me saying hi. Red flags. I didn’t respond (like a smart person), and instead just ignored him, hoping he’d forget. But I didn’t block him yet.

Then, just a minute ago, he messaged me again, once again just saying hi. This time, something really felt off.

So I checked the blogs he was following. All girls, of various blog types. I had a gut feeling it was bad, but a part of me didn’t want to block him in case I insulted him.

Then I realized -

I don’t care.

I have no obligation to interact with him or allow him to look at my blog if I don’t want to. So I blocked him, and felt immediate relief.

I know, maybe a bit anti-climatic, but the message needs to be out there. You can block someone on a guy feeling. It’s okay.

TL;DR - You can totally block someone from just a bad feeling if you want.

for the record I’m doing really well in general

I just had a long day, and while it was 90% good, I was creeped on by a guy at the bus stop, who proceeded to get on the bus, who proceeded to get off at the mall, and after I gouged the heck out of my leg running up the escalator to get some distance and was LITERALLY JUST TEXTING CROW “Ugh I feel bad he was probably just lonely and awkward” HE SAT DOWN NEXT TO ME AND WENT “IS LIFE’S RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR SO BROKEN THAT I KEEP MEETING THE SAME PEOPLE”

so I’m dealing with some mega dysphoria/grody objectification feels still and that’s probably what this is really about, especially since he grabbed my bag to look at my buttons (WHO THINKS THIS IS OKAY EVER) and sat next to me on the bus so I was trapped smooshed against the window and augh

Some really really awesome things happened today but I want to post about them tomorrow when my brain isn’t being DO SONE I’m sorry I’m okay I swear

Finally got the courage to unfriend the family friend that gave me creepy too-long hugs and an overall skeevy vibe good riddance

I was looking around for a party and this creepy guy on a bicycle said hello to me, asked how my day was, asked my name, etc. and thought that my practically running away from him meant that he should shout, "JESUS LOVES YOU!" manically while chasing after me.
