Changed my URL in light of my new portfolio

I'm keeping the avatar for now because I don't want to confuse people. 

The new portfolio site isn't live yet, but I wanted consistency in URLs so this will have to do!

Why do you think D.W. has always been voiced by boys?

i never really thought about it! i mean, boys on tv have been voiced by girls/women for ages, so it's probably something like that. the first boy who voiced dw probably did the best job, and they had to keep dw's voice sounding fairly similar in subsequent seasons so they may have sought out boys to get that same sound. just taking a stab, though!

It's important to realize that some people may not make the connection that "girlfriend" is used to mean significant other. Because some people DO use the term to refer to female friends.

In certain parts of the world, like the US and Canada, sure, that's a very valid point. But here in the UK it hasn't really entered the colloquial vernacular as such. I'm sure there must be some subsets of people who do use it in the sense of an adopted Americanism but it's far from being an everyday use of the word, to most it's pretty much only ever used to mean 'female partner'. I don't personally know anyone here who would in all seriousness use it conversationally to mean 'female friend'.
