Cats as a concept are so funny to me

Like, yeah, 'the creeture could literally be anywhere rn-'

Or,

'creeture might sleep on my bed tonight if I'm lucky,'

or even,

'the creeture might choose to eat a plant or some plastic at 3 am... who really knows? certainly not the creeture...'

Dream Creature - "Mouthless Lion"

One day, when hiking through the mountains, I came across an unusual creature. A mountain lion, that had somehow lost its mouth. Whether it be by birth or mutation, I had no idea how it had survived for this long. Despite the potential danger, I couldn't help but take pity on the poor creature - doomed to a slow death by starvation. But then, I was struck by a burst of inspiration.

Brandishing my brush, I seized the lion by the jaw, and scrawled a jagged mouth across the creature's face in black ink. It was a poor job. Drawing in dreams had never come easily to me, and I don't think either of us fancied me being in this position for long. But as I stepped back, I saw that my plan had worked - as the mouthless lion stretched, and opened its mouth to give spectacular yawn. Perhaps its first one in years. It gave me a slow blink, as if deciding what to make of me. Before it turned back down the mountain, and disappeared around the bend.

Who wore it best?

My wonderful mom made this Melt the ICE hat pin for me, but since it’s an actual miniature hat - not just a flat outline - I thought I would see how it looked on some of my Creetures!

If you’re unfamiliar, the red knitted hat (typically with a tassel) was used as a symbol of protest against Nazi occupation in Norway in the 1940s. These hats are re-emerging now as a new symbol of protest against I.C.E, with the money made from the pattern going to immigrant aid agencies to help those who have been negatively affected by I.C.E. The pattern for the mini hat pins is free, and it along with some more info about the history of this hat can be found in a story highlight on my Instagram profile 🧶♥️

These little guys were made by @phykoha and I really wanted to draw them. They just looked so fun!
