Two Hands on the Sunshine, One Foot in the Grave
this blog isn’t prettied up yet, but I’m gonna start posting/reblogging stuff to archive anyways, and I’ll start w/this fic featuring @impossibletruths boy Cresp 😉
Fuck.
Merit wasn't often one for cursing so vividly, only doing such when he felt it was warranted. In this situation, however, it was indeed so.
Leaning on an alley wall far from home, being hunted by a group of alerted thieves’ guild goons, and clutching at a wound stabbed into him by a jagged iron knife, of all things. He could still feel it burning in his blood there, but it didn't have the courtesy of actually burning his blood and thus ceasing the bleeding. To top it off, he has no backup, fool he was didn't think he would need it on a reconnaissance outing.
1, 3, 14, 19 for Cresp & one other of your choice!
thanks! gonna add lin cause they’re both about the same amount of fleshed out (which is not very much tbh) // questions about creating your oc
1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)?
CRESP –– it was appearance. I was doodling at work and he came out again and again and I was like I guess this is a character I have to keep now. the sun imagery and cheerfulness came shortly after––I wanted the new kid to be happy, unlike everyone else I was playing at that time
LIN –– aesthetic. I started putting together a board on pinterest and she sort of grew from there
3. How did you choose their name?
CRESP –– I was driving home and saw some crepuscular rays and it all just slotted into place and suddenly the cheerful sun child had a name. originally he was callisto crepuscular because I wanted to name him something space-y, and then cal, and then callister because I liked the sound of it more than callisto
LIN –– after tam lin, because besides being born out of the desire to have a blond-and-green OC aesthetic she was largely influenced by anais mitchell’s ballad of tam lin
14. If you had to narrow it down to 2 things that you MUST keep in mind while working with your OC, what would those things be?
CRESP1. everything he puts out into the world is light2. he makes choices with his gut and rolls with the consequences
LIN1. there is something distinctly fey about her2. she is a fierce and proud little thing who is unshakable in her convictions
19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?
CRESP –– he’s still settling into something more well-rounded and steady but I think it’s that he’s just a big cheerful labrador retriever of a man (with a potentially concerning connection to an ancient solar deity he doesn’t understand or remember the details of but let’s not talk about that)
LIN –– small girl in pretty armor wields fuck off huge sword; she’s the kind of person who wins arguments and you don’t even realize she’s won until you’re walking away and then you’re trying to figure out how she changed your mind without you noticing
