( MARIA GREENE ): 🎤 EULOGY BY CHARLIE ALLEN. the drive is a long one, and even with the air conditioner blowing through the vents, the car that sped down the freeway was uncomfortably warm. julian took their job seriously, and they were quietly relieved to find that maria was an easy package to transport. relatively quiet, though small talk happened still more often than jules would like. but it was tolerable. it made this easier for them. but maria posed a question that jules didn't want to answer - don't you ever get scared? they almost scoff. not that it's funny, but even if they wanted to feel it, fear wasn't an option. fear got you killed. head turns to look at maria before eyes move back to the blacktop in front of them, the stretch of desert reaching out beyond. ' i'm not invincible, but i'm not afraid, ' julian says in a low tone, deep voice barely filling the car. ' no point in bein' scared. got a job t'do, ' @crimewrought.
