I was reading Gotham Sirens and then i read young ex husband good reader, lol, I'm now thinking about male Ivy, Harley and Ex Goon husband are now in a poly relationship but still teaming up with Sylvester in some missions but kept babbling about their new husband because he is the sweetest guy and balance the two toxic gays out.
If ex goon reader met male Harley and male Ivy before Bryce returned to Gotham, he wouldve never retired being a goon, instead he would've probably became a criminal rogue.
I like to imagine that in this scenario, Bryce returned to Gotham when she was around 25 (like in DC canon) and reader was working at the lab that Dr. Peter Isley (I forgot for a second that Ivy's real name is Pamala for a second) as someone who was dropping off smuggled, illegal goods.
Reader, while being more of a delivery boy at this time, was roped into helping Dr. Jasmine Woodrue test and administer "experimental medicine" to reader and Peter Isley.
While reader just became resistant to poison, Peter unfortionaly nearly died.
Twice.
Only surviving thanks to reader. I think this would cause Peter to develop his yandere love towards Reader. They share in the same trauma of being expireminted on and because, to Peter, Reader is the only person that truly cares about him, saving him from dying as well as being there for Peter while he was healing.
When he became Poison Ivy, he took Reader, saying that "you'll make a perfect assistant".
I personally like to think about Poison Ivy with Reader, especially if Poison Ivy becomes Reader's pharmacist. Imagine thats the deal? Reader working for for Peter as a goon in exchenge he gets a unlimited supply of medicine that was custome made just for him, so the side effects aren't as brutal.
Plus, due to Reader taking the same drugs as Peter, he is resistant to Peter's natural poison. Which means Peter can hug, cuddle and kiss as much as he wants without worrying about killing Reader or making an antidote.
Win Win.
Harley met you while you were breaking into a museum to get some amber that had an extinct plant specimen in it. You wanted to get it for Peter as an anniversary present and Harley thought that was the sweetest thing ever. Harley was there to steal some golden statue of some guy, he didn't really care, especially now since he was witnessing a romantic gesture in the making!!!
Puddin' never does anything like that for him...
You two started talking while you were disabling the alarms, not looking at Harley, but letting him know you were paying attention to him and what he was saying.
You listened as Harley talked about how he's angry with his 'Puddin' because she doesn't appreciate all that Harley does, like driving the get away car, hiring the goons, acquiring the tools and helping with the plans to 'take down the batwoman'.
"I can't stand Batwoman! Always takin' up my puddin's time! I barely get to spend any time with 'er because of that bat," Harley complained as he followed Reader into the room that had the amber.
"I know what you mean, Poison Ivy and I constantly have to move bases now because she keeps finding where we are staying. Its so annoying, especially when we find a good one," you'd tell him, cutting a circle into a glass case that held the worlds largest emerald.
"Here, your boss likes green, right? Give her this. I think she'll like it." You smile and hand over the emerald to the black and red harlequin.
"Btw, if you ever need to stay the night somewhere, head over to the abandoned chemical dump. I think it would be good for Ivy and I to make some friends."
I think that would plant the seed in Harley's mind that you are just perfect for him. So sweet to not only give him a emerald, but to also offer him a place when Miss J kicks him out of the hideout? Aww, aren't you just a sweetheart!
This seeds develops roots when an alarm goes off and the cops come, shooting at you both. You both escape and end up at yours and Poison Ivy's hideout.
Together? You three are the healthiest criminal throuple Gotham has ever seen! You take a interest in both of their hobbies, with you becoming a gymnist to keep up with Harley and an hobbiest botanist/chemist for Peter.
You and Ivy got Harley out of his toxic relationship, you and Harley help Ivy with his botony projects as well as making extinct plants not extinct, and they give you the love you were denied since you were a child.
A win-win-win in my opinion.
