It's hard to find a Warhammer lore channel that has its own opinion instead of rereading the lore from the wiki, but it's even harder to find a one that doesn't has surface level opinions and keep repeating the same memes. I was watching Mr Bones video about Mortarion(seriously the "roasting" part made me cringe so bad) and i wrote a whole essay on the comments that i later deleted it because i thought i overreacted (regret it), and i was trying so hard to no click off the video. Later i watched the episode with him and Astartes anon about pros and cons about primarchs(Silent crying through some takes/jk i respect them), hoping he formed a new opinion or the others will discuss the deeper parts of this character or at least feats, then the "Pros none, cons insecure jealous smelly stinky. " part made me pause the video, take a deep breath, then continue watching it. Of course a character writing is horrible if you don't read this books and think he's corny, Pale king? Buried dagger? At least God blight? I'm not saying that you must read every book, but if you want to discuss a character and criticize it. Read at least one book about him, we're talking about a franchise that has multiple writers and some writers keep messing with the characters. This also applies to Leman Russ and Lorgar (And all primarchs tbh) no offence to anyone here. Please don't harass Mr Bone or Astartes anon.
Edit 2026/may/6: Honestly, Mortarion is mediocre in term of writing. It could have been better, but he has such an interesting character. It just feels boring how people are forming the same opinion on a character with knowledge from other books that it isn't centered around said character especially when there's different writers. I'm honestly not sure whatever he (mr bones) read the buried dagger or not, I'm just assuming that he knows it from other people/wiki/YouTube etc.
