Peony is actually a bit up there in centuries! Not yet a senior but close! Shes about 400 years old and has a prim and poise to her that would suit even the most esteemed and meticulously kept gardens!
Sunbathing on garden walls, hiding among the flowers. Peony is the definition of royalty!
I love bells. Can I give them all little bells? Like little cat collars with bells? Oh oh! And themed tags (like a moon for Hear and a sun for Mind and a star for Soul). Give Mind a little bow tie on his too. And some little tiny mini wings on the back of Heart’s on either side of the clasp. And soul gets those spikes you see on dogs’ collars sometimes!

Hello!!! I love your fox characters sm! Their anatomy like how the legs are more fox like is rather cool to me. I was wondering what their names / lore is? I have seen them occasionally named but never into one place!

Thank you! I appreciate it a lot! My main blog has more finished images of them in their character name tags and some misc info but since I started deviating from creatures specifically on this blog and they appear pretty frequently, I can write some blurbs here about them. I'll start with some info about my setting, Vanus, cuz my characters almost entirely revolve around that setting. (I do work with a lot of random AU stuff also but I try to tag it as such... have not done a great job of that when I crossover with other people's OCs tho LOL)
Vanus is its own Earth-like world where various kemonomimi species are the intelligent beings shaping the world much like humans do on Earth. Humans do not exist here, they don't know what that word means. It is a medieval-like high fantasy setting with some modern elements hidden around. It has an elemental-based magic system that is wild magic where pretty much anything living has some kind of elemental magic, so it is prominent everywhere and often effected by environments. It does have its limitations, someone cannot use magic infinitely. Just like everyone has different energy levels in life, people and creatures in Vanus have different energy pools to use magic and if they run out it starts having significantly worse effects on your body.
Being as pretty much every species of person is based on a real-life animal, there are a significant number of different kinds and I have nowhere near everything drawn out yet, but I have started working on some species traits in my free time.
As far as characters specifically go, I have 2 favorites at this moment I've been working on a lot when I can and are seen most often in my work lately so I'll just talk about them a bit:
Tetra is uhhh the favorite. She is an alchemist specializing in medicines, toxins and explosives who was taken in as a child and raised by a hermetic old dragon man that taught her all she knows after she was separated from her family. They lived in a toxic mushroom jungle that looks like this:
She is a doctor, a biologist and a creature of observation who when she is not laid-back, aloof and watching a situation, she is teasing and a bit enigmatic, oftentimes getting herself into trouble with the way she speaks to and teases people. Her lack of a social life before she began traveling left her with acute textbook knowledge of people, they body language and how they work, but some nuances and feelings go over her head. Overall she is a traveling doctor who tests her alchemical experiments on herself and has gained a fair amount of poison resistances from doing so. She is sweet and well meaning, wanting to help people, but like most foxes is cunning and full of tricks. I could go on forever about her but this will do.
Veronica is the other favorite, my fixation before Tetra swallowed my life LMAO. She is still very high up there though.
She goes by V or Vee for short, but she is from an isolated underground city known as Quartz, which built itself around a crystal cavern their "species" found and settled in deep in a winding underground cavern far to the north. She comes from a society of white and orange Vulzi that pride themselves on perfection and beauty, call themselves Allura, and alienate and exile those that don't fit their standards. Veronica was one that was unlucky and was born half blind. When she came of age, she was sterilized, branded and thrown out of the city walls to be exiled, but not after being raised being told she would never be worth anything and she was useless to their society. This has of coursed caused her to be incredibly insecure, anxious and afraid of people.

Things that remind me of You are very easy because I have learned so many wonderful things from you. Religious texts, the smell of old books, glowstone in minecraft(for some reason), the smell of the ocean, small weeds growing from cracks, late night movies, scribbled plans from group brainstorming, the smell of ink from ball point pens, the feeling of pages being flipped against your fingers. Also a lot of older buildings, and run down backstage areas in theaters.

10. Have you ever spotted a fellow Critter out in the wild (via merch, cosplay, etc.)?
I’ve only actually been a critter since November (December? Can’t remember) of last year, and in that time I’ve seen no critters. If the plague ever ends though, the first thing imma do is go see Ginny Di at any con she visits, because we live in the same state.
14. How do you cope with high tension in CR (stress-snacks, screaming into the chat void, skipping it, etc.)?
I squeal into blankets and liveblog in all caps. Make myself a cup of tea before a big battle or I’ll spend the whole thing Marisha-perching.
