Enjoy these S'mores Cronuts, the ideal mash-up of a croissant and a donut. Graham cracker crumbs, mini chocolate chips, and marshmallows are mixed together and fried until flaky. A rich chocolate ganache and crushed graham crackers are placed on top. These are a fun take on the traditional s'mores from the campfire!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup granulated sugar. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/2 tsp salt. 1/2 cup milk. 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 large egg. 1 tsp vanilla extract. 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs. 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips. 1/4 cup mini marshmallows. 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers. 1/4 cup chocolate ganache. Oil for frying.
Instructions: In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted unsalted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Fold in the graham cracker crumbs, mini chocolate chips, and mini marshmallows. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about 1/2-inch thickness. Cut out donut shapes using a donut cutter or a round cookie cutter with a smaller circle in the center. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350F 175C. Carefully place the cronuts into the hot oil and fry until they are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove the cronuts from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dip each cronut into the chocolate ganache and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers while the ganache is still warm. Let the cronuts cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your delicious S'mores Cronuts!
