i love living in the internet age. i'm currently listening to a fairly serious book review that's citing other reviews and sources about disability rep and ableism, but if i wanted to cite one of these quotes, i'd have to say "Zeldawolf2000, 2023, as cited in Crow Caller, 2024"
Rewatched some old crow caller videos. Yolotli, Missy, and Marcy all deserved so much better. I think they should get to hang out
every time I watch a cari can read or crow caller video I get this major desire to have someone break down one of my stories the way they do, and then I remember I’m shit at finishing things and don’t have any (appropriate) finished pieces people could read anyway, but ughhh I crave that sort of recap and reaction to my stuff
This reviewer goes on an excellent side tangent about the depiction of mental health treatment in media, I love it.
I'm so tired of this idea that taking care of yourself hampers your personality/talents. The idea that creativity can only thrive under adversity; or our character only deepens after hardship is so backward.
All of my best works as an artist and an author were created when my physical needs were met, I was in a good headspace, and I had a solid social group. Fulfilling these conditions gifts people the space to step back and fully engage with the world mentally and physically.
I just needed to vent idk how to end this 🧍🏼♀️
TLDR: listen to this book reviewer's thoughts from 13:53-18:00

Crow Caller on YouTube is antiblack racist and is literally claiming that paying somebody to do black faced to promote a racist book (Save the Pearls) isn't racism isn't racist and it's not fair to call the author who literally did these things and wrote this racist book racist.
according to Crow Caller, it's "not fair" to call the white woman who literally paid another white woman to put on blackface to promote reverse racism racist.
And then after declaring that this is not racism, said oh I'm white so I won't criticize racism because that would be the real racism.
You won't criticize racism because you're white, but you will literally declare that blackface isn't racist? On the exact same video where you show blackface and treat it like a joke?
Again, as I've said before, thes3 pseople who would not hesitate for a second to call a cis man a misogynist for his misogynistic writing but will fall over themselves to declare that you actually can't tell if somebody's racist just because they write racist things, that's totally unfair and unfounded and and you can't possibly tell what someone's political views are based on how they write minorities!
Apparently the rule is obviously misogyny is misogynistic! But if it's racism or any other kind of bigotry that this person in particular is an impacted by, well then it's just an unknowable mystery of the universe, you can't tell if the author actually meant to be racist you cannot glean in any way someone's political views just from how they handle their characters and themes and narratives! Oh but yeah sure that dude writing misogynistic characters that's for sure proof that he's a misogynist, no doubt about that obviously!
Redesigned some of our (least) favorite loserqueens and failkings to how I was imagining them while I watched the premiere for Crow Caller’s nightbane video
I think I accidentally desaturated all the drawings how the hell did that happen
