1 what was your writing-highlight this year? what made it special and how will you reflect on it next year?

The highlight was handing the work of half a year to my beloved beta-readers who have single (uh... double?) handedly kept up my spirits in the past years — @alittlewhump and @starlit-hopes-and-dreams — as well as @pleasestaywithmedarling for the first time.

Eyes glued to gmail to watch comments pop up, I have made many questionable bedtime decisions (writing this at 3am btw). No matter how many bad takes I see on tumblr, thanks to you I know that there are at least three people out there who get it.

There's nothing to reflect on next year other than that I love you. I will carry you around in my pocket and feed you little treats. Thank you for being there 😭💜

4 what is your favourite line you wrote this year?

I wrote roughly 175 000 words and finished two books. How am I supposed to pick??

Some lines I love because they remind me of my friends, and some because I think they're pretty funny, and some because they mean a lot to me, and some because they mean I did The Thing.

I'm running out of time to pick, so I'm throwing in one from the unfinished WIP:

“I’m Riordan.” He spelled it as well, before adding his own sign. “Or you can keep calling me Goldilocks, if you want.”

🫂- What was your inspiration for your WIP?

I have a couple WIPs in the fire right now. (Which is kind of funny to me. Because before I got big into writing fic in the last 6-8 months, I always thought I would be one of those people who only worked on one project at a time. XD But lately I have a lot of ideas bouncing around and the motivation ebbs and flows. Plus I have three different longfics in progress - also another thing I didn't think I'd do.)

My top priority WIP at this particular moment is a highly fluffy one-shot which was primarily inspired by two different prompts sent by @astreamofstars which I smushed together into one thing which then got out of hand. XD This happens a lot because astreamofstars is very generous with prompts to me, which I appreciate tremendously. <3

(It should surprise no one that it is mostly focused around Jaheira and Karlach. XD )

Oh goodness, I love 🌷 (tulips)! They always remind me of springtime since that’s when they pop up all colourful like, and “spring” is legitimately the name of one of my characters! ‘Xuân’ is a Vietnamese name with “spring” as the meaning!

The name isn’t technically their official name, but it was what their mother called them as a cute little nickname and Xuân started using it as an adult in memory of her!

Amar is their snake-pet btw—she was probably very expensive, too! the fairy probably stole her or something tho lmao

Endless Scrolling: Where do you find inspiration? Books/Movies, music, aesthetics, people/places

For Arda’aman, I drew a lot of inspiration from Dungeons and Dragons. It’s where Auria, Rino, and Petryn came from - they were dnd characters first, and I created Arda’aman so they could have a home after their campaigns fell through.
