It takes 40 shipping containers & 8 semi-trailers to more the custom built experience from Brisbane to Perth. Over 8 weeks, 200 staff worked tirelessly to unbox and build Le Grand Palais from the ground up on location at Crown Perth.

32 screens are used to create the immersive experience with a total number of 129 million pixels across screens and floor.

800+ Artworks feature in the SENSORY4™ Gallery, and a staggering 70,000 wildflowers make up the Wildflower Room (an insta favourite!)

First week at new job: check!

I now have two jobs. 1. Bartender/Host/Waitstaff at Outback Jacks which is a steakhouse. 2. Waitstaff at Atrium in Crown Perth which is a fine dining buffet. The first week was a bit daunting. It is so different than what I'm used to. The whole 'hotel' is exquisite. I'm not even sure if it is classified as a hotel because it is too damn big, it's a small city at its best.

There's an underground space that is as big as the whole floor scale of the hotel. The staff use it to get around since we're not allowed to be seen on the main floor. So you know those moments when the hotel staff just sort of appear out of thin air? They must have those underground tunnels. It's a maze, my first and second day I was lost at least 4 times. My third day was better, I now know how to get around most of the time. 

The staff cafeteria, however, is the best. Its a great buffet with absolutely everything in it: pasta, sandwiches and burgers that are already made, but there's also ingredients there so you can make your own, there's sushi, rice, chips, desserts, soups, soda, milk, juices, etc. And staff are entitled to eat 3 times a day! It's the best. 

I don't know yet about my actual job though, I guess it's because I'm new so I'll know soon enough what I think about it. My co-workers are mostly nice, and my supervisors are helpful.

I hope this job ends up being exactly what I need, because it is such a good opportunity that I would hate having to leave.
