The Ask Blog Lore
So with me choosing to cancel the ask blog what remains in the lore I had in mind to go with it.
I planned to have the blog change in appearance overtime with lore events that happened, make it really immersive for the audience, y'know?
If you were here for the start of it with B.E.N, then congrats! You were there for a once in a lifetime experience. (Unless I decide to bring this back.)
But yeah one event I was really excited for was the big reveal of who was behind everything all along, but we'll get to that later.
1. So who all was going to be in the mansion?
As many pastas as I could fit in there. The full list, in order of who joined, are.

When I was ready to introduce a new character to the mansion there was going to be a whole thing written of them returning to or joining the mansion, introducing them and showing their relationships with the others.

2. So whats going on with Slenderman?
(Note I didn't have this entirely thought out.)
It was the 1900's.
Slenderman was a husband, a human man, with hair. He had a wonderful wife who always told him to love and forgive, to lead a life of kindness. Then, Sally was born and his wife died during birth. He was so excited for her birth, it was supposed to be a special day, but he never expected the cost to be her life.
For the longest time he worried that he'd come to hate Sally, but he couldn't. He remembers how his wife would always tell him how excited she was, everything she planned for them to do, she had a list planned out for her entire life. Now it was up to him to continue that for her.
She wanted Sally to know her family so Slender invited them over to meet her, even all three of his brothers. He was fine with two of his brothers meeting her but there was one who was known for being a little more than unstable. Bless her heart, his wife coukd never abandon him. She saw a struggling and hurting man in Oscar and always tried to help him change. Now that she was gone, it was time for Slender to take her place.
Years pass and Sally grows and thrives. Slender had begun to reconnect with Oscar and he was really starting to improve, even getting to a point where Slender didn't feel all too worried about him visiting with Sally home. His drinking habits improved, he was taking care of himself, and he was talking to their brothers again for help getting a job. All was looking better... until the 4th of July came around.
All four brothers decided to spend it together since they hadn't had time to hang out with just the four of them in forever. Sally had to be included, of course, but they didn't mind. All was well until Oscar called Sally over, noticing her curiosity with the fireworks. Slender was being strict about her safety but Oscar thought he was being a bit too tensed up with it. "Let the kid have fun! It's fine if she gets a lil spooked, she'll learn!" He lit up the firework and as he ran he accidentally knocked it over. Sally, being 4, tried to readjust it. Oscar cried out for her to run but it was too late, the firework launching and with it not being properly secured coming back down.
Sally wasn't burnt, it just missed her, but she wouldn't take her hands off her ears or stop crying. She was rushed to the ER and it was concluded that her hearing was damaged. There were hopes that with treatment they could recover it to a better state as she grows but that was only a possibility. Oscar wasn't allowed to see Sally for a while after that.
He was shunned by his family for a long time and it wasn't until both of his brothers were occupied with their own jobs that Slender called him. "They need me at the school and nobody else can watch Sally. Consider this your one chance for redemption, Oscar."
He didn't want to mess this up. He wanted to talk to his brothers again. He had to do things right. Sally was sick so all he had to do was keep her comfortable on the couch, bring her soup and medicine, and not drink. Easy! So easy! He can do this!
Next thing he knew, he had a beer in hand. He didn't know how much he'd drank but he knew he was getting drunk. He looked over to Sally, sleeping so soundly, and didn't want her to get sore from sleeping on the couch. He had a bed upstairs so he picked her up, carried her up the stairs, and...
"Sally?" he passed out. He woke up with his head bleeding from impact on the edge of the stairs. He looked around but she wasn't in his arms. "Sally, where'd you..." Oscar looked down the stairway and he felt his entire life end.
Slender didn't leave his house for months. His brothers would stop by to take care of him, except Oscar who was arrested and to be charged later. He went to court and let out his full fury, getting Oscar a jail sentence only for him to end up getting killed by angry inmates who weren't too happy with his recklessness. Slender was happy by the news but it didn't bring his baby back, the only thing remaining of his wife, the only reason in his life.
Years pass and Slender's depression continue. He was in his 70's and his brother's kids continued to visit. They'd take him on walks, bring him gifts, and he'd be lying if he said it didn't help. He slowly began to find reason to live, even if most of his life was over already. He knew they didn't want him to die sad.
He picked up hiking thanks to one of his nephews. Usually they'd go with him, since he is old, but he heard of an old abandoned path in walking distance. There were plenty of legends about it that he just had to investigate for himself, rumors of an old mansion from long ago.
Slender went down the path carefully to not trip on the overgrown vines and tree roots. He eventually found a stone path and followed it to the rumored mansion. He hadn't planned to camp but he was exhausted and the sun was starting to set. The building was somehow intact still so he went inside.
The lobby was magnificent, tall walls holding up the curved cieling adorned with beautiful engravings still visible even after hundreds of years. It was like someone had been taking care of the place this entire time to keep it standing. It made him wonder if one of the bedrooms were fine enough to sleep in. To his surprise, he found one with a clean bed. Not a single sign of bed bugs or pests burrowed inside. "How is this all untouched?"
3. Theres someone in the walls.
As Slender slept he had a nightmare. He eas visiting the grave of his wife with Sally when she suddenly began to crawl into sn empty grave next to her mother's. He knew there was nothing he could do and let it happen, watching in guilt.
"Is this what you want?"
The voice, powerful yet alluring, felt as if it echoed from in his brain. "No. But they're gone. What else can I do?" The voice laughed mockingly.
"I can help you. Or, you can forever live with this."
The graves shook, dirt rose, and hands began to emerge. His wife and child crawled out in black tears, their bodies rotted and Sally's still wirh the injuries she died from. Slender sobbed and muttered apologies as he hyperventilates.
"Last chance. What do you want?"
It took him less than a second. Just to make this all stop, he took a breath and screamed. "I WANT THEM BACK!" and it all stopped. Although there was no face to the voice he was hearing, he could tell that it was smiling.
Slender awoke and the room he was in seemed the same, but something was off now. "It's just nerves, old man." he told himself as he got out of bed.
"On the contrary."
Slender jumped when the wall beside him spoke. "Ease yourself, old man. You should not allow yourself to be afraid of such things as voices when-" Slender wasn't having any of that. "I JUST SAW MY WIFE AND CHILD AS ZOMBIES AFTER YOU WERE JUST IN MY HEAD!" There was a pause. "That may be the honest truth, but consider this." A snap echoed and the building felt to shift. Slender turned around and there was a chair. "Sit down." As he did a sesk began to form in front of him with a document.
"You want them back, yes? And right now I have a special offer for you. For you see, since your wife has long since passed on I am unable to revive her spirit as easily as your daughter's. So to prove I am capable of such feats I just need you to agree to a deal."
Slender glared at the wall. "Quit the fancy talk and get to the point. I'm not gonna sign unless you tell me the fine print, and who you even are." The wall voice seemed impressed by his smarts. "Alright, I will fess. By signing the contract you will work under me." A line appears under a section of text stating such.
"You will help me amass a devoted following and in return you can have your daughter back, with a wife owed later once I'd regained enough power. But I will say that if you agree to this you will have to undergo some... changes. There is no possible way that I'm leaving an old man to do my bidding."
Slender read over the contract a couple of times. He didn't know what was behind that wall but it did not feel like the devil. This was something far worse.
"I will remind you that this is a limited time offer. Do you want your child's life to have ended in such a way?"
With those words in his mind, he picked up the pen.
