Jeff was lying on the couch, blankly staring at the TV, when B.E.N appeared on the screen. He didn't react as the entity stared at him with two large eyes. "Whaddya want, freak?" Jeff asks as he turns over on the couch. They blink and chuckle as the rest of their body comes on screen. "Nothing seems to scare you, Jeff. Whats it like being so cold and empty inside?" Jeff chuffs "I dunno, whats it like for yall?"
B.E.N pauses and stares as the screen gets a slight static. "Ha ha ha! You are so funny, Jeff. Projecting your issues onto others as if they do not still affect you." Jeff smirks and lays on his back, staring up at the cieling. "Guess ya got me there." B.E.N giggles and presses their face up against the screen. "We sure do! We know everything about everyone, becauss you are all open books. Books that we read all day every day. We know you all more than you-"
"Do ya wanna hang out?" Jeff's sudden proposal catches them off guard. "You... want to hang out... with us?" Jeff sits up and stretches. "Yeah. Yer a pain in the a$s but I wanna know how y'all are able to do all that, just out of curiosity." B.E.N takes a second to process his request, a buffering icon appearing on screen.
"We have discussed and came to a conclusion. Jeff, we will hang out with you for a few hours. It may be amusing!" With a blip, B.E.N appears on Jeff's phone. "You have 5 messages from the boss, btw." they inform from his pocket.
Jeff heads out with a list of supplies, a tote bag, and his facemask and hat for his disguise when in town. B.E.N came with via his phone, having convinced Slender to allow it by simply saying "Well do you really trust Jeff with our business funds alone?"
As soon as Jeff reached the bordering gate and began to get his disguise on B.E.N couldn't help but put in their thoughts. "A facemask and hat? You really are just a basic guy underneath all that bloodshed. No fun." Jeff reaches into his pocket and turns off his phone. "That won't stop us." Jeff sighs in annoyance with the entity.
After the first couple of stores he was tired with them. They wouldn't stop talking, making him have to put in earbuds just so they wouldn't blow their cover. "Jeff, you've passed an aisle. U-Turn." B.E.N commands like an annoying GPS. Jeff grumbles as he turns back around. "Y'know, I thought that when we hung out it'd be somethin cool. Like you showin me how y'all work together or maybe us playin pranks. Not chores and gettin nagged at." The collective murmurs amongst themselves until one mind steps to the front with an idea.
Just like that, B.E.N vanished from his homescreen before the music softly playing on the overhead speakers rises then vanishes. "Attention all shoppers. For the next thirty minutes, you'll get 90% off all breakfast items!" And just like that every single customer starts rushing to the breakfast aisles and to checkout. Jeff watced from afar as B.E.N returns to his phone. "Christ, man! Look at them go!" As he laughed B.E.N began to record the chaos. "It's really funny indeed! But we should get out of here before things go farther south."
Jeff rushes out in the midst of the chaos, getting the groceries for free thanks to it. He looks back down at the list on his phone, B.E.N wandering around the screen like a shimeji. "We've still got to pick up some specific items for the others and some meds, maybe get you some too." and just as soon as Jeff started warming up he shoves the phone back into his pocket.
