Trying to tidy up a bit. Yep, gone a little overboard on the hand sewing 😂. Knowing when to stop ✋ is key! I've loved enhancing this crazy #crumbblocks #portholes from my workshop with @afullenglish with all different threads, embroidery floss, linen and random old spools that have been lurking in my thread drawer, even metallic (which I managed to do with my sewing machine 😳, never managed that before !!!!!) Loving the #porthole tecnique !!! I'm wondering how much longer I can get away with sewing today😜! Should be emptying and repacking the car for the second leg of summer holiday. Mostly this week I have been fiddling around pottering, and not being terribly focused! But having thought about it I have done quite a few bits and bobs. I made a #bubblepod to keep headphone and charger cables in (in headphones material 😁of course) did some tiny quilting on a piece of printed cloth by @inkymole that a Easter egg came wrapped up in, some #crumbblocks (to use up some scraps), and made some strips into striped fabric. We are home!!! And I have crept away to the sewing machine and embroidery thread to continue with my #portholes and #crumbblocks ! I so enjoyed my class with @afullenglish at the festival of quilts (even though it seems like a looong time ago! 🤔) I've eventually found a use for some textured orange wool I have had for about 15 years 😂. I am also using some vintage Swedish linen embroidery thread that I bought from the festival !!!!
