this song holds a special place in my heart as the first king gizzard song i ever heard, recommended to me by my girlfriend @bennie4twenny 4 years ago (to the day!). for ages we've been saying we should make our own version of it together... and here it finally is! a love letter to one of my favourite songs, albums and bands of all time. we made a music video too! hope you enjoy it :)

i had planned and carved this print in one night but wasn't able to print it for weeks because i got so busy. and then when i Was able to pull some proofs my dog chewed them up :| and then he chewed a hole in the purple ink baggie :| but it's non toxic so it's okay :)

this was my first time doing an actual literal Rainbow Roll and it came out so nice i still can't believe it. i used some random old inks i had already mixed and they turned out to be the perfect colors for this. and the key block isn't printed in straight black, it's a combination of black, blue, and pewter (dark metallic grey) and they dark metallic blue looks so much nicer than just black

over the month of july i also left etsy and opened a big cartel (also just called pigeonpoem), and now all of my prints are available there instead :)
