Oddments is an odd album, mainly because it's a collection of songs that didn't make it onto their other albums. It's their first of three of these and it's good, I like it but it's definitely not my favourite Gizzard album.

i was busy yesterday and also today i got surgery today they took teeth from me but i got to keep it XD im nursing my pain and had a very good nap to Oddments today! still feeling crazy about the silver cord also

so here’s general oddments thoughts and ill post fafyl in a bit

when introduced to the concept behind oddments and later the other compilations albums i thought it was one of the most interesting things in the world. you make so much music so you jsut throw it all together? amazing. even more crazy impressive imo when you look at OG and how everything transitions so damn good.

i tend to rate this album very low just on like principle. my friend alison put it “feels like a joke we’re not in on” and i agree with that.

HOWEVER despite my knee jerk “its oddments it sucks (lovingly)” i genuinely like just about every single on here. got old, sleepwalker, crying, hot wax… god theyre all so good to me. i really genuinely enjoy rhis album but it gets lost in my own personal shuffle of enjoyment out of everything else thats in the discog.
