She was a mother goddess, and watched over fertility in all its forms: the fertility of women and of land. Her cult was adopted by the Romans, under the name of Juno, and the Greeks under the name of Hera. Some scholars consider that Etruscans influenced the Romans, who included Juno into the supreme trinity, a place occupied only by male gods before.
