Slightly startled by the Rick’s appearance, he huffs out a, “I have? You’d have to remind me where I’ve seen you… I know a lot of Ricks but you’re mug’s a first. Oh um, of course.”

VA took for granted having remedies for the common Rick ailments on hand since he used to run the old Pharma shop in the Citadel. He reached in his jacket pocket, producing a small tums looking bottle with Ouch Ez, on its label. It was colorful, and looked a bit cartoonishly bright for a Rick cure. It was half full.

“I’d have more but I haven’t been to the shop in a while. You can have that.”

Summary:

Rick had vanished, and Morty had been in denial about it. He figured his grandfather had gotten side-tracked on a solo adventure or had gone on a bender, or both. It wasn’t unlike Rick to do either, nor was it unlike him to be gone without so much as an explanation. It wasn’t until he found the empty portal gun lying discarded in the backyard that he began to doubt. Furthermore, in his grandfather's absence, strange things began to happen around Morty. Were they related to Rick's disappearance or part of something much more insidious?
