so like. im planning a webcomic called TRANSLUCENT and it takes place in the cryptid universe i mentioned before.

okay the main character is named Ren. she is a human not a cryptid and she is roommates with a guy named Felix. Ren is like a private detective and very introverted and stoic while Felix is a gregarious bartender who just wants to have fun.

but then one day Felix just. dies. and Ren has to deal with the loss of her friend. but luckily for her Felix comes back as a ghost. he’s like Specter bc they’re both ghosts and cryptids. also Felix can’t remember his human life and started calling himself Caspian bc he saw it on a street sign when he first woke up.

yeah. i don’t want to spoil the whole story but that’s the premise. when I get motivation I’ll eventually make designs for the characters. i can’t wait to introduce Damien and Magnus but ill hold off on that for now.

basically, there’s these things called cryptids. they could be vampires, werewolves, ghosts and even formless voids. the one thing that ties all cryptids to one another (besides the original) is that they all used to be human.

they exist all across the globe but often go unseen by each other. most cryptids don’t know any other cryptid because they are so rare. since they are seen as monstrous or demonic, they often stay hidden from human society.
