Cryptid Theory
The Kickstarter campaign for Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game has entered its final week, and over the past few days a flurry of new stretch goals have been met.
The biggest news of the past week is the final list of 21 species that will be available for player character builds. They are:
Human
Vampire
Goblin
Slime Person
Candy Person
Flame Person
Cloud Person
Lumpy Space Person
Wildberry Person
Mushroom Person
Nut Person
Hot Dog Person
Animal (including Penguin, Bear, Squirrel, Fox, etc)
Life-Given Object (perhaps including Neptr-like robots)
Undead (including Zombie and Ghost)
MO
Rainicorn
Demon
Grey Alien
Martian
Party Bear
Interestingly there isn't really a species that covers Jake. You could be a dog under the Animal species, but maybe shapeshifter will be a class or maybe it will be left as something only Jake can do.
In other gameplay news, the Princess class has been unlocked, Flame Princess and LSP have been added as "Algebraic Allies," and eight pages of Nightosphere monsters have been added to the core book.
New merch unlocks include a bunch more item cards, some art print postcards, forty more random encounter cards, a set of "Prismo's favorite recipes," a character journal cover, a Marceline dice set and bag, and some premade character sheets.
And they've finally made this graphic to more easily show you what each support tier gets you. It was very confusing before so this is useful.
Adventure Time: The Roleplaying Game is currently aiming for a March 2025 release.
