He brushes it off pretty casually like even if it wasnt written to be sexy its still super squicky and gross to include that in the book? From my basic understanding it was supposed to what?? It is....detailed. I read the book in highschool not knowing, and it made me feel pretty sick. I’m sensitive to that with my ptsd, but even so, it was excessive. It’s not like, a quick paragraph and it’s over.It was supposed to make their bond stronger I guess, I don’t know what the hell he was thinking when he decided that was the best way to convey it.

why do people still have a hard time grasping like... even if it’s fictional, it has impact in the real world. step out of your fandom comfort zone and see how “ships” and supporting certain media influences things in the real world. i have seen and read so many cases with abusive people using abusive ships to groom unsuspecting ppl. normalizing adult/child ships gives pedophiles a fallback for their unhealthy attraction to minors. i’m not spewing fiction! this shit happens!
