POCHITA'S TRUE IDENTITY

Staking my claim rn that the "Chainsaw Devil" is going to be revealed to be the actual Death Devil.

I've got a whole theory for this that I'll put under the cut but we'll see how this ages

Chainsaw Man is a misconception.

Pochita is The Death Devil.

Chainsaws, originally used to assist in birth, are feared in the csm world. Every single Devil hears the sound of the Chainsaw Devil's saws before they die/are reborn...

Birth plays into the true form of the Chainsaw Devil; with the umbilical intestines forming an asphyxiating scarf during the transformation.

But why would devils hear the rev of a saw from the birth Devil? Why would a chainsaw or birth devil be capable of erasing concepts from existence? Such a damning fate seems much more fitting for the Icon of Death. At the beginning and end of every devil's life, they hear the very thing that the strongest hybrid is bound to- Pochita is a Judge of Death.

Rebirth may play a part, but beyond that even- The Chainsaw Devil is directly associated with death.

Now moving onto the other little things- The Death Devil has been consistently hyped up as the last remaining member of the Four Horsemen, and an ultimate threat... but unlike the Gun Devil, we have zero "teases" to its existence. We know nothing about it physically or its abilities... or so we think.

Fami is Famine. Yoru is War. Nayuta (who is likely still alive) is Control. All these people are, in some way, tied to Chainsaw Man. But who actually has a link to the Death Devil?

But every living creature fears death.

And when a Devil dies, and is reborn, they hear the sound of saws.

The Chainsaw Devil will be revealed to be The Death Devil, and a colossal final battle will end with the very concept of War, Famine, and Control being consumed, allowing Denji to live in a world of peace. Free from battles, free from HUNGER- A VICE SINCE CHAPTER ONE- and free from the Control of other people telling him how to live his life.

Pochita first showed up in the manga around the circumstances of death.. a situation in which a young Denji was probably completely unaware of what death even was. As soon as Denji met Pochita, he started killing. Death will go wherever Denji does, because his heart is the most powerful devil concept to ever live.

Let's hope he gets his "normal life"

CSM THOUGHTS - DEATH DEVIL

this might be completely baseless and might be completely wrong but here i go

tbh i feel like death devil dgaf about chainsaw man and events happening rn at all

i except her to be indifferent about pochita hold no grudge or anything just enjoying her time in world.

every four horsemen want something from pochita wants ro achieve something through using him. Makima wanted to control his ability, Yoru wants revenge and him to puke nuclear weapons, fami using his position in society (and weaken him prior to his fight against war if u ask me)

but death devil doesn't need any of that because she already reached her goal.

Every conclusion of life eaten by chainsaw devil. Doesn't that automatically make death stronger? Think about reincarnation as one of the conclusions of life. If that was still a thing people know some people wouldn't afraid of death but people in csmverse only know death and fear it.

unlike war who's completely at disadvantage bc of pochita's actions death definitely benefits from it.

Death and pochita fought in hell yeah but with how fami acts(i think she's still petty but not on makima war level) i can definitely see a horseman not holding a grudge against pochita and just love observing human life rn tbh

she is the ultimate idgaf veteran to me even pochita might have smt against her but according to me delusions she'll just wave him off and continue to do her little things

people always theorizing about her -fami introduction, woman behind that nayuta denji illustration and somehow bus driver yoshida- but her not being a big player as fans thinking her to be is such a Fujimoto thing to do
