Video game wallpaper time. I’ve been holding onto these wallpapers made from one of my all-time favorites, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for a good occasion, and what better than Halloween, possibly my favorite day of the year that I don’t get or take any additional time off from work for.
In keeping with the new wallpaper concept of choice, you’re covered more than ever before. Whether you’re a traditionalist that believes only a true Belmont should be clearing Lord Dracula’s castle or one who accepts the coolness of Alucard, you should find something that you’re looking for here. Picking these scenes was tough. Obviously I needed something from the iconic Clock Tower, but beyond that it became a matter of personal preference. I’ve always considered the corpse-filled Granfaloon to be one of the most creative and disturbing bosses in the game. The Succubus of the Nightmare, despite her terrible acting in the English localizations, is one of the most striking scenes. And to round it all off, two different events taking place in the Castle Keep: the confrontation between Richter and Dracula, and Richter’s defeat at the hands of Alucard. I wanted to include the battle with the fake Trevor, Grant and Sypha, but almost all of the backgrounds of the Inverted Castle look very strange when put into wallpaper form in my opinion, so that was out.
Although logos for the game are all shown above, the wallpapers are also available in logo-free versions. (Please don’t post them anywhere else or use them for any purpose other than as wallpapers, thanks.) All can be found at the links below, which will provide you with the full 1920x1080 size images.
