Music Makes the World Go Round
Music Makes the World Go Round
Hello everyone :) Finals started on Wednesday, and along with finals means that my entire diet becomes Coffee and Luna Bars, which makes me feel like I’m a Gilmore Girl! I’ve officially finished 2 out of my 6 exams and it’s nice to finally be able to breathe. Its also the first day in 15 days that it wasn’t raining outside, so things are looking up. A few days ago I went to the review session for…

Luncheon and Regina
A few weeks ago, the President of my University tweeted: “Interested in joining me for lunch & opera Regina TheClariceUMD on Apr.10? Be one of 20 UMD students to tweet back & receive an invite” to which I knew that I had to reply with an extremely enthusiastic “yes please!” It’s been quite the weekend, with a Saturday night at a Jeopardy viewing, and a Sunday afternoon eating lunch with my…

The Limes on WCAX
Gina Bullard and Joe Carroll of WCAX came to Cabot to film The Limes in late April, and the video aired last night! Check it out, and when you're done, back us on Kickstarter!
Real Update!
The last 6 weeks have been an unbelievable mess for me, in terms of time management. I hope some of the art and policy I've been linking to and/or reblogging has helped fill the void.
Die Fledermaus at the Maryland Opera Studio closed on Saturday and it was a huge success. The Kay Theatre at Maryland very nearly sold out on closing night, which is a feat unto itself.
The semester is rapidly coming to a close. My final presentation for New Ventures is tomorrow and my major Visual Arts paper is due on Friday. After that, I'll get to take an extra week or two to wrap up my independent study.
I have two final artist services shifts - Kenny Barron on Friday and the infamous Maryland Day on Saturday.
After that, I will enter an uncomfortable and nebulous period of unemployment as I continue to pursue development and advocacy work. I've been in informal conversation with a couple of different people about how I might help their organization work through an upcoming major change and I hope to be able to formalize some of those projects.
Then, the only things I know are definitely happening are trips to Germany, Hawaii, Nashville, and Baltimore.
Here's the final countdown:
opera closing
1 day until new ventures presentation
3 days until visual arts paper deadline
4 days until last artist services call
10 days of full-time alumni coordinating
THEN
11 days until Germany
23 days until Hawaii
51 days until Nashville
94 days until Baltimore
