Poly HC - Tatch x Reader x Marco
You were probably dating Marco first, quite a serious relationship even. Marco does not really play around. But he knows he’s busy often while helping Whitebeard, on top of being the doctor for such a big and busy crew.
Marco is very good at communicating in a relationship and pretty early on you decide that at the very least, this relationship is not going to be exclusive. You can both date others, together or separately, as long as you tell the other one about it.
Trust and communication are important and it helps a lot. Neither of you really feel the need to date others in the beginning, but as busy nights follow each other and you seek to distract yourself from the lack of physical affection, you usually end up in the kitchen, where Thatch is preparing food for any mealtime or cleaning up after.
He’s pretty busy too, chef duties alongside division commander duties, but unlike Marco, who cannot really be disturbed while working with herbs and medicine, Tatch is more up for some company during potato peelings and such.
Thatch is probably someone both Marco and you have expressed interest in before, it’s been talked about already.
Which makes the transition from a healthy open relationship to a polyamorous relationship between the three of you surprisingly easy once Thatch expresses an interest as well.
The men usually get their quality time while working, it is not ideal, but even at work, there are appropriate times for winding down a little and seeking out some privacy.
You get to spend the most one on one time with each of them, simply because you have way less duties and are more flexible in schedule to seek either of them out.
When all three of you are together, the magic is at its strongest. In between Thatch’s lighthearted jokes and Marco’s slightly more serious conversation topics, the three of you can stay up all night talking about all kinds of things.
Thatch cooks dinner for the three of you on special dates.
Marco will pull some all-nighters to have extra time to spend with you.
Cuddle sessions are the absolute best, soft, gentle, but determined. You always feel safe in their presence.
Sleeping happens most often in Marco’s room since it’s the biggest one, and even with the busy schedules there are plenty of times where everyone comes to bed at a different time, but at least you get to wake up together more or less, so you can at least share lazy good morning kisses and cuddles.
The rare times the Whitebeard pirates get involved in any kind of conflict or confrontation, at least one of them is near you or keeping an eye on you to protect you. Even though you are perfectly capable of holding your own, the men are fiercely protective over you and would rather take the blow themselves than have their poor y/n suffering.
Overall, just a very lowkey, very stable relationship, and even though the relation is still open, none of you really feels the need to date outside the relationship you now have established.
