My cubs love being creative in the kitchen. A couple days ago, my eldest, Princess Tiger, asked if I could make a "chicken cheese and sage-from-the-garden pie". It took me a couple days to wrap my head around it, but last night's dinner was a success. I try not to say no when it comes to a food idea the cubs have, though, admittedly, the ketchup sour cream sandwiches give me pause. If you'd like the recipe for Princess Tiger Pie, here it is! Princess Tiger Pie 1 Pie Crust, unbaked Filling 1 ½ C cooked chicken 1 can of condensed cream of mushroom soup 1/3 c sour cream 1 C corn 1/2 c chopped fresh asparagus 2 cloves of garlic, diced 1 tbsp sage Montreal Chicken seasoning to taste (50% dried onion, 25% lemon pepper, 25% paprika) Topping 3 cups mashed potatoes 1 c shredded Monterey Jack cheese Preheat oven to 425ᵒ. Roll the pie crust into a circle, and place into a pie dish or tin. In a large bowl, mix together all the filling ingredients until combined. Add filling to crust. Bake for 15 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 350ᵒ bake for 20 minutes. Remove pie from oven, top with mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese. Place back in oven and cook for an additional 30 minutes. #cookingwithcubs #cubchefs #pie #chickenpie #shepherdspie #sage #dinner #whatsfordinner #happytigertroupe #princesstiger #princesstigerpie https://www.instagram.com/p/B-cbPvfAz_M/?igshid=1m4st0arlm8s6
