Status vs. Safety: Help me become a Chef before my mother retires

for years, I’ve lived a life designed by my parents’ expectations. They prioritize a "high-status" degree in psychology, but my hands were made for creating. After years of following a path that wasn't mine, I've found my calling: Culinary Arts.

Why I need your help: My household is governed by "status over safety." While my family is willing to fund a traditional degree, they do not prioritize my basic needs for my independence or health.

I am an only child and the main breadwinner of my family, my poor mother, is reaching her retirement age by 2027. college takes longer than the duration of a culinary school and I have yet to have any professional help with my cognitive health!

Financial Barriers: I am currently financially dependent, and my legal documents (Birth Certificate/Diploma) have been missing for a year, preventing me from getting a job.

Health: I am seeking funding for necessary medical care (OBGYN/Therapy) and a check-up for my dog—essential needs that my family considers "low priority."

The Goal: I need to enroll in culinary school now to build a career and become self-sufficient before my mother’s retirement in 2027.
