I briefly mentioned about my wiccan practice in the last post so Iāll just detail a little more of what I do to celebrate!
Things I do to celebrate Mabon!
- I love cooking meals for the family with the seasonās ingredients. Since itās autumn, Iāll be using a lot of leeks, sweet potatoes, pumpkin (even though iām not a fan), ginger, carrots, corn, tangerines and anise! Just tonight, like I last mentioned, Iāll be making Leek Soup!
- Connecting with family and friends, avoiding conflict with much more than usual (that part is kinda hard, even though iām nice I really an a hotheadš¬). Saying more āsorryā, āthank youā, āI was wrongā. Iām doing quite well so far!
- Treating plants and connecting with nature, which is very important in the Wiccan practices. Iām not doing so well at that part, since most of my plants died Iām really embarrassed but Iāll do my best to make them grow healthier now.
Since Iām not āentirelyā wiccan, I tend to forget to do such things, but it is personally very important to me, it kinda cheers me up so I unconsciously do it every year and every season. Itās such a cool celebration!
