Dream Daddy Joseph Symbol

So, i found that the symbol found throughout the game resembles several symbols, like the alchemist symbol for the sun or gold, and it resembles the egyptian symbol related to Ra, the sun god. Whilst looking for the connections between Christianity and the sun, i found a page talking about the pagan god Mithra. Also, apollo was also considered a sun god. Several of these have been said to have cults, so Joseph may be tied to one of them.

Depending on several pictures, i’ve seen the symbol having 2 or 8 “rays”. The 2 rays i’m not sure how to explain, apart from a far fetched theory that involves a picture of Saul in which he has a scar that goes from his brows down, and continues from under his eye. I saw a page that stated that the circle was the sun and the center was like an iris, so if it has two rays it could maybe be linked to Saul’s scar.

If it has eight rays it could be tied to the symbolism of the number eight which is a new beginning or a new order. So it could be said that it is the new beginning of the sun? Or the new order of the sun?

Whilst looking at Bible Verses i found: Jonah 4:8

When the sun rose, God provided a scorching east wind, and the sun blazed on Jonah’s head so that he grew faint. He wanted to die, and said, “It would be better for me to die than to live.”

If I’m not mistaken the transcript had Joseph mentioning Jonah, and with the sun’s symbolism i thought it could important. Also on Damien’s route you are told to go east.

The fact that it is in level 18 also holds symbolism because 18 apparently symbolizes both spiritual and physical captivity or bondage. Which could be related to how joseph is keeping the mc captive. Another far-fetched theory is that it involves Amanda because she is 18, and in the secret ending plot she is mentioned.

This is probably reaching at straws, but I decided to mention it just in case it could be helpful!
