i get this question a bunch omg. mostly just…talk to me? it takes a ridiculously long time for me to warm up to somebody and it’s trial and error, sometimes i just dont click with people. im notoriously difficult to talk to because im really forgetful and i get shy easily and a lot of the time i dont Want to talk to strangers also my dms are closed for only people i follow but…idk how else people became friends with me other from talking and being nice people? it’s a lot of chance???

OH WAIT!! dont befriend me to use me as a word/idea machine or like as a promo megaphone of sorts. i can Tell when this is ur Agenda. and i dont like it.

Five things I’ve always wanted to do in life:

Learn to play an instrument - and be good at it, and enjoy playing it! (I DID take piano lessons for several years, and I was okay I guess, but I wasn’t GOOD, and I never particularly ENJOYED it)

Find a message in a bottle (I’ll admit I’m kinda stuck on this bit, so searched ‘bucket list ideas’ to see if it’ll spark my memory, remembered this)

Come up with a concept for/write a successful video game

ICE SKATE!!! I’ve always wanted to try ice-skating, but never have!! (The closest I’ve gotten was rollerblading)

As cliche as it sounds, my friends. My friends honestly make me so, so happy.

Coming up with good ideas (especially ones that other people like too!)

Getting things done/following through with stuff! It sadly doesn’t happen as often as I might like it to, but when it does happen, it’s brilliant.

This Match 3 game called Jelly Collapse - it’s so addictive!! It automatically saves your progress, so I’ve been playing it for a few days and I’m currently on Level 60 :P

Bastille’s ‘Wild World’ - such a good album!!

If they count, my new-ish over-the-ear headphones - I really like them, they’re great!!

There’s this website called Internet Archive, and it has an online archive of old MS DOS games (which I actually used to play in the mid 2000s, rather than early 90s, as my Mum had a computer that ran on Windows 98 till 2009), and it has some of my old favourites that I thought I wouldn’t be able to play anymore!! So happy I found it.

My Mum and Nana went to the supermarket yesterday, and one of the things Nana brought back was a tube of Pringles - but this was no ordinary tube of Pringles. Normally in NZ we tend to just have “regular” flavours like plain, sour cream and chives, chicken I think, things like that - but apparently the supermarket’s started stocking some flavours you could only previously get overseas, as yesterday she brought back a tube of CHEESEBURGER flavoured Pringles!! I had heard about these and was definitely interested in trying them - and I actually really liked them!! Really tasty!! (It’s still so weird to me though, they DO really taste like cheeseburger O.o )

Five things on my to-do list:

Get a new passport

Apply for an 18+ card (I haven’t really needed one since I don’t drink, but I’ve gone to a few 18+ gigs and have had to use my passport as ID)

Keep going with and complete my FutureLearn course

Study the booklet I got from the first aid course I did this month, to retake it in November, so I can pass.

Get all the way through a Nancy Drew game without the help of walkthroughs, and without any family or friend help. Just relying entirely on myself. (The only time I’ve managed to get through one without a walkthrough was with Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, and even then that was several years later, with help from my tutor and my sister)

Five things people may not know about me:

I didn’t actually walk until I the year I turned three (the day my sister was born, actually! Up until then I hadn’t walked, and so my family jokes I suddenly decided to start walking because my sister was the centre of attention all of a sudden XD ) 

I went on the Great Wall of China when I was little, with my parents - Have a certificate commemorating it and everything! (As far as I can remember, I think it was on the 28th of October 1996)

I repeated my final year of high school (some of you will know that, others won’t)

Until I was about 15, I used to get Mandy Moore (an American actress) and Missy Higgins (an Australian singer) mixed up (I blame it on a magazine I read when I was younger that for some reason I seem to remember calling Mandy ‘an Australian treasure’?! the fact that they looked quite similar (at least to younger me), and their first names both started and ended with the same letters)

I like putting tomato sauce/ketchup on macaroni cheese. So many people seem to think it’s weird (my mother included), but oh well :P

Hope put on such a strong face that you wouldn’t think she’d cry if she was upset, but since the attacks started and people started to turn on her -if they’d ever been on her side in the first place-, she had smiled less and less and George had seen her ducking into empty classrooms, her crying muffled by the door.

“I always hear you crying.”

Hope’s quill tip dug a hole right through the parchment and she gritted her teeth together.

“Its okay to admit that they’re getting to you,” George said and Hope scowled, her eyes darkening to a solid black and hair turning that familiar bronze color that George now knew was a trait of her grandfather.

“I don’t have that kind of luxury,” she said bitterly. “I’m the descendant of Salazar Slytherin, after all, and its my fault for being related to him, right? That’s the only reason I survived the Killing Curse, right?”

Her dark eyes were angry and wet and George wished he could say something else, something to comfort her, but even he wasn’t sure what to say.

So he reached across the table, extending his hand to her, his palm open and inviting but Hope cast a wary glance towards it, before finally settling her hand against his.

He squeezed her hand, so much colder against his skin, in what he hoped was a comforting gesture.

And feeling how Hope relaxed was more than enough to calm his own worry.
