im p sure the blood ban has to do with the fact the lgbtq+ (in particular, cis gay men) are more susceptible to HIV (because of this there's the rule where you have to wait 1 year after having gay sex before donating blood). idk thats what ive heard

Responding to your tags about therapists, therapists actually can tell your parents about stuff if you're under 18. My mom asked my therapist to tell her basically everything I said and because of that I stopped going to my sessions.

Confidentiality laws prevent the therapist from telling your parents about anything said in session. They’re only supposed to break these confidentiality laws if you tell them you’re going to be a danger to yourself or others, or if they are told about being sexually assaulted,,, or am i just spewing bs bc thats how every therapist has been with me and i’ve been to quite a few
