Casual observation from someone old enough to remember: in the year 2000 financial advice was that rent should be no more than 1/4 of your income.

Until the mid 80s, the advice was that if you must rent instead of owning, then that 20% of your monthly income (oh yes, only 20%) should include all your utilities too.

After all, rent costs more than a mortgage, so it should offer more too.

what if i told you you could make large amounts of food for extremely cheap with basically no preparation work to do using a single pot and also did i mention you can put literally whatever you want in it

literally the only necessary ingredients in a stew are some kind of liquid (stock, water, vegetable juice, milk/cream, etc.) and then whatever spices and solid stuff you want in there as the actual ingredients. chicken potato mushroom tomato venison bison beans okra shrimp lamb do you get it the possibilities are endless you can do whatever the fuck you want forever. stews are your bff

do you worry about your food cooking all the way through? this shit can simmer forever until you're satisfied its cooked. you will never burn a stew. if you manage to i will be genuinely surprised. in fact, the longer you cook your stew, the better! let those flavors mingle babe! you dont like your food soupy or liquidy? use less liquid and simmer it down until its just a sauce rather than a broth!
