"Do you really see nothing wrong here?"

You pressed your knees together, trying to rid your mind of him, but it wasn't working.

"Stupid Kensei!!"

You'd run, just like a coward. When you got back, he was gone. But you could still see and feel everything that happened. Now laying in your bed, you couldn't stop the flush that rose on your cheeks.

"He's..never touched me like that before.."

You were in a daze.

You weren't that much of an idiot. You held feelings for the reaper, but you liked your dynamic, and you knew if he ever found out about it, things would change. Then you'd lose him. You never wanted to. You liked everything about him. His strength, his need to discipline you when you were doing something stupid.

He was a highlight in your life. You knew the only reason he constantly got on you was because he cared. You always hoped it was in the way you wanted, and now you weren't fully sure about anything. You just wanted to talk to him. Explain to him that you never meant to offend him. He did scare you when he kissed you, but it was more his forcefulness that caught you off guard. You didn't want your feelings to be received like that.

"Kensei..."

You missed him. Only a couple days passed but you were missing him like crazy.

"What do I do?"

All you wanted was to talk to him, but a part of you is scared that he hates you.

"(Y/N)-chan!"

You barely react to the tone.

It's only when the female walks in that you raise your head.

"Mashiro-san.." your voice sounds a bit distant, and she approaches.

"What's wrong?" She questions.

"It's..nothing."

You don't want to burden anyone else with your problems.

"Great! Let's go to the soul society!"

"M-Mashiro-chan c-chotto-" She's gone. You should have known better. After being dragged over there. She goes on talking about what she's been up to the past weeks. You really want to listen, but you can't focus.

"Plus Kensei has been so cranky for the past few days." That catches your attention.

"R-Really?"

"Yep, that's why I brought you. He's never cranky when you're around." You blush, and it's then you realize the true purpose. You aren't sure you can face him just yet.

"I-I can't-"

"Sure you can, have fun!" She shoves you forward and you stumble as she slides the door behind you close. You straighten, a bead of sweat running down your head.

"She really is a piece of work." You mutter.

"(Y/N).." 

The voice makes you tense.

"K-Kensei.." you gulp.

You aren't sure what to say. This was not how you thought it would work out. Kensei looks just as surprised by your abrupt visit. He doesn't hold your gaze, just looks away. He turns, heading for the door.

"I have to go."

He doesn't say what for, and you know he's just trying to avoid you. You need to say something. Anything. You don't want things to continue like this.

It's killing you not to have him by your side anymore.
