I taught all of my sons how to do basic life skills, which yes, included cooking and baking. Son #5 is home again after recently graduating with a mathematics degree.

He was feeling nostalgic and wanted to bake cookies. All was going well until I put the flour next to the measuring cup and said, “measure out 4 cups”

I sHould have made clear that he was supposed to measure out the FLOUR, because he scraped the butter/sugar/egg mixture into the cup instead. Easily remedied, but what the heck?
